Last school year, our first ever Robot Fight Night was a major success. In front of a packed “Robo-Stadium,” Eastern Christian High School Robotics teams duked it out in an elimination tournament for robo-supremacy. EC senior Caleb Gorter emerged the inaugural tournament victor (2016 highlights below).

Now it’s 2017 and it’s time to take things up a notch! Year two of Robot Fight Night has grown to a bigger space: We will be competing in the Middle School Auditorium on Friday, January 13th at 7:00 PM.

Students from the robotics class will be putting their skills to the test in a tournament of wit, ingenuity, and engineering. All are welcome to join as robotics-class teams and their robots compete in a series of challenges. Interested kids will even have the opportunity to drive the robots after the tournament.

A tournament of challenges will determine the winning robot from among 7 student teams and Mr. Steen’s “Teacher Bot.” The 8 team robot tournament will produce one champion.

The entire EC community and any robot enthusiasts from our area are welcome to come to this free event. Come to cheer on the robots and EC student pilots! Robot Fight Night will take place in the Eastern Christian Middle School Gymnasium at 7:00 PM on January 13th.

We look forward to seeing many Robo-Fans of all ages!
